Starting as a small spring under Povlen mountain the river Tresnjica flows 23 km before joining the river Drina in a village called Gornja Tresnjica. It flows trough the 6 km long canyon where it meets the rivers Susica and Tribuca; this is just a couple of kilometers before its mouth. The rocky peaks of the Tresnjica canyon high up to almost 1000 meters above the sea level is the habitat of around 120 species of birds including the endangered Griffon Vulture, which in Serbia can be found only here and in the Uvac and Milesevka canyons, therefore the entire area was declared a special nature reserve…
